🔍 3 Manufacturer Inspections Per Job

As a James Hardie Elite Preferred contractor, StuccoToday delivers fiber cement siding installations that meet the highest standards in the industry — verified by the manufacturer's own representative on every single job. Our dedicated James Hardie rep, Sean Lichtenvoort, inspects every installation three times. Your final payment is only released upon his approval. Combined with our proprietary 8–10 layer underlayment system, this delivers the most thoroughly engineered and independently verified siding installation available in the Philadelphia market.

The James Hardie Triple Inspection

How many contractors let the manufacturer hold their final payment hostage to quality? We do — because we know our work passes every time.

1

Pre-Job Meeting

Sean meets with Chris and the homeowner to review the complete scope of work, product selections, and installation plan before any work begins.

2

Mid-Installation

After all flashings and trim are installed — before the siding goes on. Sean inspects the underlayment, flashing, and preparation. Issues are addressed before proceeding.

3

Final Inspection

Upon completion, Sean inspects the finished installation. Final payment is only released upon his approval — independent quality verification for your peace of mind.

Triple-Layer Warranty Protection

30

Substrate Warranty

Non-prorated warranty from James Hardie covering the fiber cement material itself. Protects against manufacturing defects for three decades.

15

ColorPlus Warranty

Covers the factory-applied finish against peeling, cracking, and chipping — including BOTH the paint AND the labor to repair it.

10

StuccoToday Warranty

Our own 10-year transferable warranty on the complete installation — underlayment, flashing, trim, and siding. Follows the house, not the owner.

Products & Materials

James Hardie 8¼" Lap Siding

The classic horizontal profile in ColorPlus Technology factory-applied finish. Available in a wide range of colors that resist fading, cracking, and peeling for 15 years.

James Hardie Board & Batten

Vertical profile for a contemporary or farmhouse aesthetic. Same fiber cement durability and ColorPlus Technology as the lap siding.

AZEK PVC Mounting & Trim

Every light fixture, outlet, spigot, and vent gets an AZEK PVC mounting block per James Hardie guidelines — with a drip edge over every mount. No penetrations directly through the siding.

Henry Obdyke HydroGap

Our Hardie installations use HydroGap drainable housewrap (instead of JumboTex used for stucco) as part of our underlayment system, plus KEENE Rainscreen 3Mill drainage mat.

Frequently Asked Questions

James Hardie Elite Preferred is the highest certification level James Hardie awards to installation contractors. It means StuccoToday has demonstrated consistent compliance with James Hardie's installation standards, completed training requirements, and maintains an active relationship with a dedicated James Hardie representative who inspects our installations.

James Hardie certified installations include a 30-year non-prorated substrate warranty covering the fiber cement material itself, plus a 15-year ColorPlus Technology warranty covering the factory-applied finish — including peeling, cracking, and chipping. The ColorPlus warranty covers both the paint AND the labor to fix it. On top of that, StuccoToday provides our own 10-year transferable warranty on the installation.

James Hardie siding projects typically range from $25,000 to $75,000+ for residential homes, depending on the size of the home, number of elevations, and scope of underlying remediation needed. It's a premium product — but with a 30-year substrate warranty and 15-year finish warranty, it's an investment that pays for itself over time.

James Hardie fiber cement is more durable, fire-resistant, and dimensionally stable than vinyl. It doesn't melt, warp, or buckle. The ColorPlus factory finish holds color far longer than painted vinyl. However, it costs more and requires certified installation. Vinyl (like CertainTeed Monogram) is a cost-effective alternative — we install both with the same thorough underlayment system.

Sean Lichtenvoort, our dedicated James Hardie representative, inspects every installation three times to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards: pre-job (scope review), mid-installation (after flashings and trim), and final (upon completion). Our final payment is contingent on his approval. This triple-inspection process protects you — the homeowner — with independent quality verification at every stage.

We install James Hardie 8¼ inch Lap Siding and Board and Batten profiles in ColorPlus Technology factory-applied finishes. All installations include AZEK PVC mounting blocks for every fixture, drip edges over every mount, and OSI-Quad Max color-matched caulking.
